FAQS

Q: How can VentureGlide® help reduce head wind resistance?

A: A standup paddler can reduce head wind resistance by dropping into the outrigger canoe (OC) paddle position and still utilize a high paddling torque and quick paddle cadence with less negative impact on the body. Dealing with head winds while standing creates more surface area for the wind to catch.

Q: How quick can a standup paddler change position? (Stand to sit or sit to stand?)

A: You can “Change It Up” in less than 3 seconds.

Q: How can VentureGlide® increase my paddle distance?

A: The standup paddle position uses a different group of paddle muscles in comparison to the outrigger canoe (OC) paddle position. While one group of paddle muscles are being utilized, the alternate group of paddle muscles are recharging or resting. By alternating these two paddle positions, a paddler can tap into a resting muscle group without losing torque or paddling cadence.

Q: How can an alternate group of paddle muscles be resting while still paddling?

A: OC (outrigger canoe) paddle position uses a different group of paddle muscles than standup paddle position. So, one muscle group is allowed to rest while utilizing the alternate muscle group.

Q: How can VentureGlide® assist those with disabilities?

A: VentureGlide® SUP Seat can allow those with disabilities such as wounded veterans, persons with back issues, knee problems or those who are limited from standing for long periods to enjoy one of the fastest growing water sports. The seated outrigger canoe (OC) paddle position provides less negative impact on the body and allows for a great core workout.

Q: If VentureGlide® is knocked off the standup paddle board, does it float?

A: Yes

Q: How does it attach?

A: VentureGlide® has a non-skid grip that secures itself to any deck pad without the need to fasten. While paddling around white water, securing VentureGlide® to the deck while not in use with a bungee is suggested.
